"Well, this is a Happy/Sad state of affairs..."

You may have noticed that there was no new episodes of "The Real X Files" last weekend or this weekend. I've been trying to post an episode every week (with the exception of the past two weekends I would be out of town and away from my dolls.)

Last weekend, I realized, "Holy Cow! There's only a week and a half before Script Frenzy begins and I need to work on my "script bible"!" If you don't know what Script Frenzy is - it's the sister contest of NaNoWrimo (National Novel Writing Month), except that you write a 100 page script or play.

Well, okay, I had already shot last weeks pictures for "The Real X Files" and I figured, okay, I'll start writing some notes for ideas and then I'll get back to posting the story. No such luck. I was more tired than I realized from my trip, and well, last week's episode didn't get posted. Sorry about that.

And then I was going to post it during the week, but then something else came up - it looks like I might have to MOVE. And no, I'm not happy about it as it means I will be putting the dolls (among other things) into storage for the foreseeable future. Did I mention that I have nearly 200 dolls and did I mention all the crap -- uh, "accessories" --- I have for them? And now I have to pack every last diorama and diorama item up and make sure they are secure and not get lost? Can you see where I might want to scream and throw things, especially since this move is NOT my idea? Okay, I think you get the picture.

ALSO (we're back to the "happy" part here), I'm writing a steampunk story that I'm hoping to have finished by the end of this week -- no, strike that -- it will be finished by the end of this week! And I'm going to be sending that out, as well as doing Script Frenzy this month.

The upshot? There will be ONE last episode of "The Real X Files" and then dolls get packed away until who knows when. I won't even be able to finish the story because of all the other things I'm doing, which makes me sad, but at the same time, I'm glad to have the chance to have my writing published and to become an honest to god PAID writer.

And then maybe I won't be so upset about moving. (I don't mind moving when it's MY idea, but this? Just... NO. I don't want to go into details, but suffice it to say that I'm pissed at certain members of my family who let it come to this.)

Doll Nation will continue for as long as I have some dolls and doll related things out and about. Thank you.

DNN presents - The Real X Files, Episode Five

Langly: Hey. Audrey, we brought Mulder's laptop. Hope you can figure out how to get into the files I was telling you about.

Audrey: You never mentioned that Mulder was so cute.

Mulder: How old are you, by the way?

Audrey: Old enough. Why don't you boys take a seat?

Mulder: BOYS??? Do you know how old I am?

Audrey: You can't be as old as this laptop.

Mulder: Ouch.

Langly: Oh man; I think I'm in love.

Hours pass....

Langly chills out to the Ramones...

Mulder tries to read a book....

Mulder: Mommy, are we there yet?

Audrey: You know nagging me is not going to make this go fast.... WHOA!!! YAHTZEE!!! We have CONTACT!!!

Mulder: Let me take a look at that!

Langly: Yeh, let him take a look at that!

Audrey: Wow! This is some weird code that these files are in! I've never seen anything like it before!

Langly: I have!

Mulder: So have I. It's in Navaho. The Conspiracy uses it to communicate to their subordinates, and because it's unbreakable. But I know someone who can read this. Langly, we need to go.

Langly: Thanks, Audrey. I owe you one. Come on, Mulder.

Mulder: Hey, let's not be too hasty... After all, we do owe this lovely lady something for her time...

Mulder: Thanks for your help... Anything, I can do for you, just let me know...

Audrey: Anytime, Mulder... Hey, is it true that your first name is Fox?

Langly: Yeh, yeh... Break it up, you two!

(Mulder and Langly leave Audrey's dorm room.)

Audrey goes to get the laptop she hid under the bed....

Audrey: And this baby even downloads files from other laptops in the room! SWEET!

Main Street Gym:

Agent Doggett uses his weekend off to get in a workout at the gym:

Woman (thinking): Hey, that guy looks familiar....

Woman: Oh, my stars! It's John Doggett!

John! John Doggett!

Doggett turns around.

Doggett: Agent Reyes? Monica Reyes?

Reyes: Oh my goodness; it is you! John Doggett!

The still swinging punching bag hits Doggett in the back, spinning him around and knocking the wind out of him.

Doggett is knocked out cold....

... he feels that he's leaving his body and drifting away somewhere else....

Reyes: John, can you hear me? John? JOHN???

Doggett: Ohhhh... Where am I?.... My aching head....

DAD???

Doggett: What? Who?

Dad, It's me, Luke...

Doggett: Ohh... Luke... Oh my goodness... You're here...

Luke: They need your help, Dad... You can't stop looking...

Doggett: How can you be here, Luke? How can you be here?

Luke: They need your help to go home, Dad... They want to go home....

Doggett: But Luke... You're dead... How can you be here?

Luke: I came to tell you, you need to help them, Dad... Help them go home...

Luke: Dad, I have to go... Help them, Dad... They need your help...

Doggett: Luke! Don't go! Don't go!

From Scully's journal:

Scully (voice over): Sometimes it's good to take a break from work. These past few weeks have been wearing on me... Agent Mulder's recent disappearance has made me feel tired...

Riiiiiiiiiing!!!

Mulder keeps calling, but I don't want to talk to him...

Mulder: (voiceover) Hello, Scully? Pick up... please? Okay, I know you're there, so I'll just say it... I'm sorry... you're right; I should have never left you out of the loop... Will you just talk to me?

Scully: (voiceover) Sometimes "sorry" just isn't enough... and actions speak louder than words.

Scully: (voiceover) Agent Doggett and I had a locksmith come to try and open the door, but it remained locked.

Scully (voiceover): A carpenter was called to take the door off the hinges, so that we could get into the room that Mr. Seaborn described...

Scully: (voiceover) ... but there was no room. Nothing but brick wall behind the door.

Our next move would be to get some x-ray equipment to see if there's anything behind the wall. But frankly, we don't have any hope of finding anything... or anyone.

RIIIIIIIIIINNNGGG!!!

Scully: Not today, Mulder. Not today.

Langly: Agent Scully still giving you the cold shoulder?

Mulder: Yeah. That Doggett guy has her brainwashed against me.

Langly: No offense, dude, but I've worked with Agent Doggett, and he's a stand-up guy. Takes no prisoners; even more relentless than you. He's like that guy in those Terminator movies.

Mulder: Well, if you love him so much, why don't you marry him?

Langly: Funny, man... No wonder Scully dumped you for another dude.

Mulder: (unprintable)

Langly: By the way, I want to take your laptop to a friend of mine who might be able to help you out with your "problem".

Mulder: What? You're admiting that there's something computer related even YOU can't figure out? So who's this guy you want to have look at it?

Langly: It's not a dude, dude... Her name's Audrey, and she's a student at the local university. And she's got mad hacking skills! I think she can help out. By the way, where IS your laptop?

Mulder: It's right here. So when is she coming over to take a look at it?

Langly: She's not coming here; I'm taking the laptop to her.

Mulder: Are you crazy? I'm not letting that laptop out of my sight! Where it goes; I go.

Langly: Chill, dude... man, you're wrapped tighter than Byers and his girlfriend...

Mulder: Byers has a girlfriend???

Langly: Long story... let me call Audrey first and see if we can come over.

(a few minutes go by)

She says no problem and to come over in an hour.

Doll Nation University Student Housing:

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK!!!

Audrey: Who's there?

Langly: It's me, Langly. And Mulder.

Audrey: Hang on a minute.

Audrey: Hang on....

Audrey: Door's open... come in.

The Campaign Headquarters of Sam Seaborn:

Casey: Sorry about the mistake, Ms. Cregg. I'll personally deliver the rest of the flyers this afternoon.

CJ: Thanks, Casey. (looks at the boxes) Hey! How come Senator McAnn gets lids for his boxes?

Casey: You guys ordered the budget boxes for the flyers, which means no lids. I can upgrade you, if you want...

CJ: Never mind. Thanks anyway.

(Casey and Tracey take the boxes out. Scully and Doggett come in.)

Scully: Ms. Cregg? CJ Cregg?

CJ: That's my name; don't wear it out. Sorry; just kidding. Who are you?

Doggett: Agents Doggett and Scully, ma'am. FBI.

CJ: Let's see some ID.

(Scully and Doggett show their badges.)

CJ Cregg: Thank you for showing me your badges, Agent Scully and Agent Doggett.

Doggett: Not a problem, ma'am.

CJ: This is a very sensitive matter, and I'd appreciate your discretion.

Scully: Of course.

In Sam Seaborn's office:

Kara: Dada, Mama... can we play with the little girl?

Davie: We like her; she's fun!

Anna: No; your father and I don't think it's safe.

Kara and Davie: Awww!

CJ comes in with Doggett and Scully:

CJ: Sam, the FBI agents are here.

Sam: Thanks, CJ.

CJ: Kids, why don't you come with Aunt CJ for a moment? We can get ice cream!

Kara and Davie: YAY!!!

(CJ and the kids leave the office.)

Scully: I'm Special Agent Dana Scully; this is my partner, Special Agent John Doggett.

Sam: I'm Sam Seaborn; this is my wife, Anna. So, where do you want me to begin?

Doggett: You're the witness? So that's why Ms. Cregg was so secretive.

Sam: CJ... Ms. Cregg... thinks that if word of this gets out it will be catastrophic to my campaign.

Scully: Why? You said you saw a little girl... one who's been missing for ten years...

Sam: It wasn't a little girl, it was a ghost.

Scully: Are you certain, Mr. Seaborn?

Anna: I'm going to go check on the kids, honey. (She leaves.)

Sam: She disappeared in front of my eyes. I'm positive.

Doggett: Maybe you should tell us from the beginning.

Sam: This was my old office - I didn't always share space with the fridge. Anyway, I was working in here late one night when that door opened...

Scully: It's locked now.

Sam: I know... and it has been since I moved out, thank goodness. Anyway. it opened, and I heard a noise, so I went inside. That's when I saw her...

Sam: Hey... how did you get in here, sweetpea? What's your name?

Amy: I'm Amy... did you come to play with me?

Sam: It's late, sweetie; your mommy and daddy must be worried.

Amy: I have to stay here; I was bad.

Sam: Here, take my hand and I'll call someone to take you home...

Sam: But she disappeared.

Sam: And then I ran screaming like a little girl... yeh, I admit it. And the next day, I moved into the kitchen.

Scully: We're gonna need to get this door open.

Doggett: I can have some guys here in an hour.

Sam: Just warn me before you do... so I can go home.

Meanwhile, behind the door...

Amy: I want to go home.

Little girl: You have to be patient...

Amy: I want to go home! Waaah!

Little girl: Shh, don't cry... we just need two children to come in here... and then we can BOTH go home...

Clarissa Kent: And this just in - producers of The Real X Files say that tonight's scheduled episode will be delayed until tomorrow, President's Day. They assure DNN viewers that tomorrow's episode will be well worth the wait.

DNN presents - The Real X Files - Episode Two

Scully: Agent Doggett, I need a minute alone with Agent Mulder.

Doggett: Sure. But I'm taking the last donut.

Scully: Thanks, Agent Doggett.

Doggett: Not a problem. I'll be outside, calling someone about our desks.

Mulder: Well, now that the second string has left... and OW! You slapped me!

Scully: You're lucky I didn't kick you! Do you have any idea what's been going on?

Scully: You could have called, Mulder! Everyone was looking for you! Where were you???

Mulder: I'm sorry, Scully! But I couldn't contact you - I didn't know who I could trust!

Scully: You could trust ME! But you never thought that I'd be worried sick about you! You didn't once think that I'd be afraid you were dead??

Mulder: Scully, I'm sorry about that! But I couldn't chance contact with you! Not after what happened...

Scully: Oh, no, I can't tell Scully anything - it might put her in danger! So I'll just disappear and let her suffer for weeks, wondering if I'm alive, wondering if the next body they call her to autopsy will be mine...

Mulder: You what? Oh, Scully... I never once thought...

Scully: Of course you didn't! The only thing you thought about was your precious quest! That's the way it's always been - you lead and I follow! Well, you know what? I've had ENOUGH!!!

Mulder: Scully...

Scully: No, I don't want to hear anymore! I've got my own path to follow! From now on, I'm deciding where I want to go!

The door opens, and Agent Doggett comes back in....

Mulder: It's HIM, isn't it? He's turned you against me...

Scully: Oh, be quiet, Mulder... Yes, Agent Doggett?

Doggett: Director Malone just called. We're wanted in his office. That includes you, Agent Mulder.

Mulder: How did he know I was here???

Doggett: Heh... He said you'd ask - he said, "Tell Agent Mulder I have eyes everywhere."

In Director Malone's office...

Malone: I'm gonna get that office furniture company for sending this desk.

Secretary: Sir, Agents Scully, Doggett and Mulder are here.

Malone: Send them in.

Malone: The first one of you that cracks on this pink desk is fired.

Malone: Amy Redvines, age five, went missing at 8522 Yew Street some time around 8 p.m. on December 23rd as she and her mother were shopping. Store monitors didn't register anything. One minute she was there; the next she wasn't.

Scully: Sounds like a straightforward missing person case, sir. We're more than glad to help, but how does this involve the X Files?

Malone: Because this case is an X file - Amy Redvines disappeared ten years ago. However, a few days ago, she reappeared and disappeared again. The store where she disappeared, Schrodinger's, went out of business after the disappearance. Recently, the store was remodelled into the campaign headquarters for Democratic candidate Sam Seaborn.

A member of Seaborn's staff saw the girl in the building. She should be 15 by now, but the witness claims to have seen a five year old girl. The witness claims they spoke to the child before she disappeared before their eyes.

Doggett: Agents Scully and Mulder and I will be more than happy to investigate this, sir.

Malone: No, Agent Doggett - you and Agent Scully are in charge of the X Files and will investigate this case.

Mulder: WHAT?!? But I'm part of the X Files!

Malone: The X Files are in good are good hands, Agent Mulder, with Agents Scully and Doggett. However, your tenure as head of the X Files has been called into question, and I happen to agree. I don't like agents who waste the resources and the manpower of this agency on a wild goose chase when there are cases that need work!

Malone: Pending an investigation into your whereabouts and your actions over the past few weeks, to myself and to a Board of Review, you are suspended from active duty!

Clarissa: Hello, I'm your host, Clarissa Kent...

Ken: I'm your other host, Ken Carson...

Clarissa: And the morning's big story - THE WEATHER!!!

Ken: That's for sure, Clarissa! Tell us how bad it is out there!

Clarissa: According to this map, the entire Eastern portion of the Doll Nation is effected. This is a record breaking storm - snow totals will be between two and three feet...

Ken: I recorded this portion 30 minutes ago, so you viewers could see how much snow is currently on the ground....

HELP!!! SOMEONE DIG ME OUT!!! I'M FREEZING!!! OMG!!!

Clarissa: Wow, Ken. That looked painful... and cold.

Ken: Anything to get the story, Clarissa. The viewers are my priority.

Clarissa: Let's run down the list of closings, Ken... Federal, state and local governments are all closed because of the weather...

Ken: All schools, universities, stores, gas stations, banks... you name it - it's CLOSED!!! In fact, last night, when Doll Nation University made it's announcement to close for the weekend, this was the student reaction:

CUT TO THE "STUDENT CAM":

Students: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! WE'RE CLOSED!!! WHOOOO HOO!!!

Darren: Let's call for Chinese take out! Aidan: I'll get the menus!

Ken: Again, we cannot stress this enough... Everyone needs to stay indoors. These are treacherous weather conditions. Everyone stay indoors! We reporters are camped out here in the DNN news building, and...

Announcer: Psst! Ken! Barbie just called! She needs you to clear the driveway!

Ken: What?!? My darling Barbie is stranded! I must go rescue her!

Ken: Hang on, Barbie! I'm on my way!

Clarissa: Ken... wait!!! At least wait till the news is over!!!

Clarissa: I hate when he goes off script... This is Clarissa Kent for DNN's Breakfast Show!

Chandra: Ladies, we had a good show tonight, but I've gotta watch The Real X Files.
Britney: The Real X Files! I want to see that!
Ticcara: I didn't know there was a new X Files show.
Chandra: Oh yeah - it reboots the 9th season, when Mulder came back and starts from there.

Ticcara: I don't see a TV.

Britney: Girl, get in the 21st century! You can watch TV on the internet now!

Chandra: Let me set up the computer, and you ladies can go change out of those ugly outfits.

Britney and Ticcara: WHAT?!?

Chandra: Kidding! Just kidding!

In the FBI Building, Lower Level:

Director Malone: Special Agents Scully and Doggett, this will be your new office. Sorry, but this part of the building is still under construction. Hey, you're agents - you'll deal.

Scully: Thanks, Director Malone. We'll be fine.

Doggett: Yes, thanks sir.

Malone: Please; it's Jack. Unless you screw up, then it's Director Malone.

Malone: Before I go, Agent Scully, I just wanted to say that before Director Skinner left, he gave us the location of a possible witness to Agent Mulder's disappearance, and that I've got my best people working on it. I just wanted you to know that unlike my predecessors, I care what happens to my agents, and that I promise we will not rest until we find Agent Mulder.

Scully: Thank you, sir... I mean, Jack.

Malone: You're welcome.

Director Malone leaves, and Scully and Doggett have the office to themselves.

Doggett: You okay, Scully?
Scully: Just thinking that the scenery never changes around here.
Doggett: Heh. It's not that bad.

Scully: Not that bad? Doggett, look around! We're in the basement... again!

Doggett: It's not too bad - we need to get some chairs in here. We can move out some of these file cabinets, and then we'd have room for our desks...

Scully: DESKS?? You mean, desks in the plural???
Doggett: Sure. There's enough room in here... and if not, well, we'll move more file cabinets.
Scully: Doggett, I like you better and better everyday... Hey! Are those donuts?

Doggett: They sure smell like them. Wonder how they got there?
Scully: Well, then this can be our first case for the department. Solving the mystery of how these donuts got here.
Doggett: Nah, I'd rather eat them.

Scully: Me, too. We're gonna need more coffee. though.
Doggett: Now THAT I know where we can get... along with some chairs...
Scully: Let's go then!

An Hour Later...

Scully: Whoa, I'm stuffed! Those were some good donuts!

Doggett: Agent Scully, I'm impressed. I never knew you could pack away that many donuts.

Scully: Well, when you grow up in a house with four kids, you learn to pile drive the donuts.

Doggett: So what do you think? We requisition some desks, a couple of lamps, a coffee-maker, maybe a microwave?

Scully: Why not go whole hog and order a mini-fridge? I'd love a place to store my yogurt. And you can put in your big subs.

Doggett: You realy know how to tempt a man. Deal.

Doggett: And if you want, we can even get one of those "I Want to Believe" posters and throw it up on the wall...

Scully: Let's not get crazy, okay? I want Agent Mulder found, but I don't want this office junked up with all his stuff.

Doggett: I was just joking. I want to put up a Jets poster!

Scully: Ha! You joker! You're totally on a sugar high!

Doggett: Don't forget all the coffee I had! Hahaha!
Scully: Hee, hee! Stop jumping up and down, Doggett!
Doggett: You stop jumping up and down, Scully!

Mulder: Hey! Why are we all jumping up and down???

Scully: Mulder?!?

Mulder: Hey, Scully. Hey, Doggett.

SMACK!!!

THUD!!!

Scully: I think we should put the microwave over here, Doggett.

Mulder: Scully? Doggett? Someone gonna help me up? Bueller?

Aidan channel surfs until:

"Oops, I did it again/ I played with your heart..." "Psst! Britney, you're on!" "Oops! Sorry!...Hi, I'm Britney Spears! And I'm your host for WORST. OUTFIT. EVER!"

"Now, contrary to popular opinion, just because it's pink doesn't make it a nominee for WORST OUTFIT EVER. What looks bad on one doll might be fine for another. I'm wearing this cute Mattel ensemble... but tonight, we have two outfits from the Mattel Hall of Shame!"

"First up, we present Ticcara modeling this truly HORRIBLE lime green and orange dress. The label may say "Genuine Barbie", but it is also genuine UG-LEE!"

Ticcara: WHAT?!? My outfit isn't ugly! This is a Genuine Barbie outfit!

Britney: Girl, please! You're telling me no one told you how ugly that dress it?

Ticcara: I'll have you know I get lots of complements on this outfit!

Britney: Suuuure...

(Fifteen minutes earlier...)

Chandra: Hey! You in the ugly dress! How did you get into my room?

Ticcara: What? My dress isn't ugly!

Chandra: Suuure...

Ticcara: Oh please, like you should talk - that outfit you're wearing is "Worst. Outfit. Ever! - the 10th Anniversary Special."

Chandra: Girl, I will snatch that weave right off your head!

Ticcara: Eeep!

Darren: Oh snap! Girl fight!

Aidan: Sweet.

Britney: "Womanizer, woman-womanizer... ""BRITNEY!" "Oops! Sorry! ... Ahem, and my next guest is Nichelle from the Generation Girls who is wearing...Hey! You're supposed to be wearing that outfit!

Nichelle: It was bad enough I was SOLD IN STORES wearing this outfit - I'm not putting it back on! And I'm supposed to be studying FASHION DESIGN in my Mattel backstory! Who's going to buy this clown dress- Ringling Brothers???

Britney: Heh, heh, heh... Ringling Brothers. Good one.

Well, that's all the time we have this week for WORST. OUTFIT EVER!

Britney: Hey, Nichelle, want to go party?

Nichelle: Sure, but you'll have to change out of that sparkly denim skirt... and that pink top? So not happening!

Britney: WHAT?!? I'm Britney, %$*&!!! I can wear what I want!

Nichelle: Suuure...
